The Centurion Lounge team came to us with an opportunity to name a new concept in the Las Vegas airport. The idea was that this would be a more cocktail-focused bar for travelers who want to make a quick stop rather than hunkering down in the sister Centurion Lounge. So, we came up with the name and concept "Sidecar." This not only communicated that it was a companion piece to the Centurion Lounge, but it also connected to Amex's heritage in travel and transportation, as well as being the name of a cocktail. What was originally supposed to be a one-off was received so well, that a second Sidecar is opening in the Charlotte airport next year. There has been widespread coverage in media and publications such as ABC News, The Points Guy, Good Morning America, Axios, and more.
